10 Snowbank Signs of Spring
Spring arrived today.
I know this by the rushing water,
warm breezes, and daffodil
and tulip leaves released
from snowbanks by the deck.
Two hours after we shoveled that garden free,
tossed its snow across the yard,
the ground ice vanished
and yellow shoots thrust up seeking sun.
