Another great noon reading Wednesday, this time from writers Larry Warwaruk, Jillian Bell and Brenda Niskala.

The event is sponsored by the Saskatchewan Writer's Guild, the Saskatchewan Publishers Group, Regina Public Library, and Regina Downtown.

Two more Words in the Park readings are planned for this summer: August 17,  with Annette Bower, Tara Dawn Solheim and Anne Campbell; and Aug. 24, with Marion Mutal, Wes Funk and Christina Shah.

All Words in the Park readings are in the South East part of Victoria Park — look for the folding chairs and drop by with your lunch to listen — or, if it's raining, in the Main Branch of the Regina Public Library, across Lorne Street from the park. (I've enjoyed attending a few; vacation and work have interfered...)

Brenda Niskala is a poet and fiction writer whose latest book is For the Love of Strangers. Larry Warwaruk's novels include The Ukrainian Wedding, as well as Andrei and the Snow Walker. Jillian Bell is a writer and editor, also known as the The Bookchick from 91.3FM CJTR radio. And the event was hosted by Jan Morier of the Saskatchewan Writers Guild.
